Bush House Museum/Salem Art Association
Welcome to the Bush House Museum, an Italianate Victorian residence constructed by pioneer businessman Asahel Bush II in 1877-78. Home to members of the influential Bush family until 1953, the Museum preserves an extensive collection of historic fittings and furnishings, including original wallpapers and ornate marble fireplaces. The Museum is located on the grounds of Bush's Pasture Park, once the family estate, now home to a fine collection of vintage roses, an 1882 greenhouse, and a historic barn building that has been transformed into a public arts center. In the middle of the city sits the 90-acre Bush's Pasture Park, with trails for jogging, walking or biking, picnic areas and playgrounds, Oregon's oldest greenhouse conservatory and the historic Bush House Museum, a Victorian home with original wallpaper and furnishings. Delbert Hunter Arboretum and Botanic Garden
Here is a unique opportunity to see a living museum of Native plants. The varied terrain of the Arboretum provides ecological niches suited to perennials, conifers, oaks, wetland species and dryland desert plants.
