A R Bowman Memorial Museum
This museum holds the artifacts of Crook County history, and was built in 1910 by the Crook County Bank. Stone blocks from a local quarry were used in it’s construction. Operated as a bank for 22 years, then as the business offices of A R Bowman. It is the only building in Crook County where the interior remains much as when constructed. Ochoco Lake State Park
The camping area at Ochoco Lake State Park provides 22 primitive campsites. These sites have a picnic table and fire ring with water and restrooms nearby. The park also features a hiker/biker camp. Prineville Reservoir State Park
Rockhounds travel to the Central Oregon area from all over the country to collect the many fine rocks found here, including agates with dendrites, green jasper, thunder eggs, and petrified wood.
